Bus Rolled To A Cliff In Sumedang, 19 People Killed, Ambulance On Standby
SUMEDANG - Officers are still evacuating a number of victims on the bus which rolled into a ravine in Wado District, Sumedang, West Java.
Sumedang Police Chief AKBP Eko Prasetyo Robbyanto said there were 19 victims who were successfully evacuated. Dozens of victims were found dead.
"So far 19 victims have been evacuated to the puskesmas, yes, they are dead," he said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 10.
The bus fell into a ravine about 20 meters from Jalan Raya Sumedang-Cibereum. The bus fell and landed in a reversed condition until it was damaged.
"The officers are still evacuating, the number of victims who are still on the bus cannot be ascertained," he said.
Currently an ambulance is on standby at the scene of the incident to carry the victims who were successfully evacuated. Residents also flocked to the location of the deadly bus accident in Sumedang.
