BPS Records Export Value Of Gorontalo March Capai 2.6 Million US Dollars

GORONTALO - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded the export value of Gorontalo Province in March 2024 of US$2.6 million, a decrease of 54.40 percent compared to the export value in February 2024 of US$ 5.7 million.

"The contribution of Gorontalo's export value to the total national export value for the January-March 2024 period is 0.02 percent," said Head of Gorontalo Province BPS Mukhamad Mukhanif quoted from ANTARA, Monday, May 20.

Several commodities originating from Gorontalo Province were exported in March 2024 through ports in other provinces, namely through Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya and Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Jakarta.

The commodity groups exported through Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya, are a group of fruit and seeds processed and preserved by 1.1 million US dollars, with the largest export value towards Italy 280.000 US dollars, then to China 253,000 US dollars, Belgium 180,000 US dollars, and the Netherlands 175,000 US dollars.

Followed by Germany 132,000 US dollars, England 36,000 US dollars, South Africa 37.000 US dollars, and Russia 17,000 US dollars.

"Meanwhile, the commodity group of various processed foods exported to Thailand is US$75,000," he said.

Furthermore, the commodity groups of postal packages, parcels and retour goods were exported to Singapore for 16 US dollars, through Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, Banten.

For the import value of Gorontalo Province in March 2024, it was 466,000 US dollars.

The import activity of Gorontalo Province comes from Singapore in the form of a mineral fuel commodity group.
