Jokowi Welcomes Delegation Leader Ahead Of The Opening Of The World Water Forum
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) welcomed the arrival of delegation leaders ahead of the Opening Ceremony of the 10th World Water Forum at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC), Nusa Dua, Bali.
Reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 20, President Jokowi shook hands with 13 delegation leaders who were present one by one in the BICC lobby. In addition, President Jokowi and each delegation leader also took a group photo.
Sequentially, President Jokowi welcomed the Dutch Special Envoy Meike van Ginneken, World Water Council President Loic Fuchon, UN General Assembly President Dennis Francis, Malaysian Deputy PM Dato Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, United Arab Emirates Special Envoy Suhail Mohamed Al Mazroui, and Papua New Guinea Deputy PM John Rosso.
After that, President Jokowi welcomed the French Special Envoy Barbara Pompili, Special Envoy who is also President of Hungary 2012-2022 Jmendos pender, Prime Minister Tajikistan Qohir Rasulzoda, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Fiji President Queen Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere, Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives Puan Maharani who is also Representative of the President of the International Parliamentary Union (IPU), and Morocco's Chief Government Aziz Akhannanouch.
Furthermore, President Jokowi and the delegation leaders walked to Mangapura Hall to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 10th World Water Forum Summit.
Before being opened directly by President Jokowi, at the event there will also be remarks from SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to the handover of King Hasan II Great World Water Prize.
After the opening ceremony, President Jokowi and the leaders of the delegation will take a group photo before attending the 10th High Level Meeting of the World Water Forum Summit.
President Jokowi is also scheduled to hold a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit.
In the afternoon, President Jokowi and his delegation leaders will head to Ngurah Rai Grand Forest Park (Tahura). Leaders are also scheduled to review nurseries and hand over mangrove seeds to children.
