Ryan Giggs Opens Opportunities To Train Again

JAKARTA Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs did not rule out returning to his career as a coach.

The former player is currently enjoying his free time after retiring and briefly occupies the post of assistant coach at his former club and the Wales national team.

"Yes, hopefully [soon back to training]. So yes, hopefully it will return to coaching soon. Yes, let's wish you all the best," said Giggs in Jakarta, Saturday, May 18 afternoon WIB.

Giggs is listed as defending Manchester United (MU) from 1990 and then retiring in 2014. He then concurrently served as Manchester United's players and assistant during David Moyes' coaching.

After that, he became an assistant coach when MU was held by Dutch tactician Louis van Gaal. His coaching career then continued with the 2018-2022 Wales national team.

"I enjoyed the two-year training days at Manchester United, being an assistant under Louis Van Hal," said Giggs.

"Then I was lucky to be able to coach my country, Wales, which I love, which I really enjoy," he added.

During his time with United, Giggs won a number of important titles. Among them are 13 Premier League titles.

In addition, he is also part of a team that won two European Champions Leagues, one Club World Cup trophy, and one European Super Cup.
