Chandra Asri Group Accelerates Government's Efforts To Achieve Zero Carbon Emission Target
JAKARTA - Chandra Asri Group through its subsidiary in the field of providing electricity, electricity services and new renewable energy (EBT), namely PT Krakatau Chandra Energi (KCE) is taking strategic steps to support the energy transition through strengthening the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem.
This was done in KCE's efforts to contribute to the ambition of the Indonesian government in achieving the Net Zero Emission (NZE) target.
Together with PT Mobil Anak Bangsa (MAB), KCE cooperates in the development of e-mobility and ecosystems of electric vehicles, including but not limited to the purchase and distribution of electric vehicles for MAB products in Cilegon and Serang City.
Cilegon is one of the targets because it is the largest industrial city in Indonesia.
The development of e-mobility (electronic mobility) and the electric vehicle ecosystem refers to efforts to support the adoption of electric vehicles in carrying out industrial activities.
In terms of emissions, electric vehicles do not produce emissions during operation and help reduce the carbon footprint of industrial estates.
Electric buses also offer more efficient energy use than fossil fuels and lower-lying electric bus maintenance costs because they have fewer moving components that require routine maintenance.
