Go Global, Transko Moloko Ship Owned By PTK Operates In International Waters
JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK) is increasingly aggressive in expanding its business in the global market. This started with the operation of the Transko Moloko ship in Malaysian international waters.
The rental of the ship was marked by the signing of a ship rental agreement based on the time charter party for offshore service vessel between PTK Marketing Director Andy Arvianto and Managing Director of Offshore Harvester Sdn Bhd Jalaludin Zamirdin in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Friday (17/5/2024).
The signing was witnessed and attended by the President Director of PTK I Ketut Laba, Director of Gas, Petrokimia, and New Business of PT Pertamina Internasional Shipping Arief Sukmara, and Country Manager of PT Pertamina Malaysia EP Eva Fadlila.
I Ketut Laba explained that the operation of the Transko Moloko ship was a strategic step and also an important milestone for PTK in realizing the company's vision of becoming a global player.
"The cooperation carried out indicates that the quality of the fleet owned by PTK as a support ship provider for offshore, Indonesian marine services meet international standards, are able to compete, and can be accepted by the global market. In the future, we will also be more aggressive in targeting various other global business opportunities, including collaborating with PT Pertamina Malaysia EP, the affiliate of Pertamina Group which has been established in Malaysia," said Ketut Laba in his statement in Jakarta.
Transko Moloko is a type of anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) ship owned by PTK, which was built in 2014 with a 65-ton ballar pull and a cargo desk space of 400 m2.
Transko Moloko functions as a support ship, especially for upstream oil and gas activities, including anchor handling, towing rig & accomodation work barrier, running cargo, passenger accomodation, happy fuel/mud, and barite/FW/cement.
The ship is also equipped with tools for ship guides when entering and leaving the pier in certain waters, especially for ships with a length of more than 30 meters.
Prior to Malaysia, Transko Moloko had operated and had experience in serving similar upstream activities in Indonesian waters.
