Raid Warehouse In Bogor, Police Sita 91,246 Lobster Seeds Worth IDR 19 Billion
The Directorate of Water Police (Ditpolair) Baharkam Polri together with the Supervision of Marine and Fisheries Resources (PSDKP) raided warehouses in the Bogor area, West Java.
As a result, 91,246 baby lobster seeds or BBL were found to be more than Rp19 billion.
"We also secured evidence of BBL 19 boxes of stereofoam. After being disbursed by the KKP Team, we managed to secure 91,246 lobster seeds at the TKP," said Head of Sub-Directorate of the Ditpolair Korpolairud Baharkam Polri, Kombes Donny Charles Go, Friday, May 17.
The warehouse raid began with information from the public regarding illegal fisheries activities or without permission around the location.
The information was then traced and obtained instructions that led to a criminal act.
"The raid that we carried out on May 14, 2024, at around 5 or 6 am, in the raid we managed to eat 3 suspects," he said.
The three suspects had the initials UD, RP, and CH. They act as coodinators to pack baby lobster seeds.
"The first suspect with the initials UD, his role as head of the warehouse and coordinator. Then the other suspect RP then had the initials CH. His role is as press packing," he said.
Of the tens of thousands of BBL found, it is said that it consists of two types, namely sand lobsters and pearls. If estimated at a market price that reaches Rp. 200 thousand to Rp. 250 thousand, the potential loss to the state from the actions of the suspects penetrated tens of billions of rupiah.
"Successfully supporting state losses of more than Rp. 19 billion," Donny.
In this case, the three suspects were charged with Article 92 in conjunction with Article 26 Paragraph (1) of Law (UU) Number 45 of 2009 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 2004 concerning Fisheries.
Then, Article 88 Juncto Article 16 of Law Number 31 of 2004 concerning Fisheries as amended in Article 27 Number 26 of Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning Stipulation of Government Regulations in Lieu of Law Number 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
