Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Phase I Toll Project Targeted To Be Completed In November 2024
The progress of the construction of the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road in East Java phase I has reached 35.84 percent by the end of April 2024.
"Overall, the 175.78 kilometer (km) Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road is divided into two stages of development. Phase I connects Probolinggo-Besuki with a length of 49.68 km and stage II connecting Besuki-Banyuwangi along 126.10 km," said PT Jasamarga President Director Probolinggo Banyuwangi Adi Prasetyanto in his official statement, Friday, May 17.
Phase I development is the construction of Probolinggo to Besuki which is divided into 3 construction work packages, namely Package 1 (Gending-Kraksaan), Package 2 (Kraksaan-Paiton) to Package 3 (Paiton-Besuki).
Adi said the progress for land acquisition had reached 97.10 percent until April 2024.
He added, in accordance with the Regulation of the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Number 9 of 2022, land acquisition and construction of the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road are focused on the Probolinggo-Besuki section.
If land acquisition is in accordance with the target, later construction work for the construction of phase I of the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road for the Probolinggo-Besuki section is targeted to be completed in November 2024.
According to Adi, in building this toll road, his party together with implementing contractors as well as supervisory consultants and quality control consultants are committed to ensuring the safety of construction engineering, occupational safety and public safety to environmental safety.
"The company also maintains the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) in this project. As many people as possible use local resources in their work, including the provision of manpower, equipment and domestic materials," he said.
The construction of phase I Probolinggo-Besuki will later have three toll gates (GT), namely GT Kraksaan, GT Paiton and GT Besuki.
In addition, it will have three intersections, namely the Kraksaan Interchange (SS), SS Paiton and SS Besuki and equipped with 2 rest areas located at Sta 33+700 in both directions, namely the Probolinggo direction and the Besuki direction.
Overall, the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road is divided into seven sections, namely Section 1 Gending-Kraksaan (12.88 km), Section 2 Kraksaan-Paiton (11.20 km), Section 3 Paiton-Besuki (25.60 km) and Section 4 Besuki-Situbondo (42.30 km).
Then, there are Section 5 Situbondo-Asembagus (16.76 km), Section 6 Asembagus-Bajulamati (37.45 km) and Section 7 Bajulmati-Ketapang (29.59 km).
