The Verdict To Heavier Than The Demand, Brigadier General Prasetijo: I Accept It, Your Honor

JAKARTA - The defendant in the bribery case for the removal of a red notice, Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo, received a verdict from the Panel of judges. Brigadier General Prasetijo, who is sentenced to 3.5 years in prison, has no intention of filing an appeal.

Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo to accept the verdict of 3.5 years in prison after the presiding judge Muhammad Damis read out the rights of the defendant.

"Regarding this verdict, the law gives rights to you. First, you may accept the verdict. Second, you are given the right to reject the verdict and then use legal remedies for appeal", said Judge Damis during a trial at the Corruption Court, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 10.

"Third, you are given the right to study this decision first before determining your attitude to accept or reject the decision. Fourth, you are giving the right by law, if today you accept the verdict, but as long as it is still within the grace period you think that it is better if you use steps. A legal step, then you can withdraw the statement of acceptance of the verdict, then use the legal appeal", continued the judge.

Brigadier General Prasetijo answered loudly that he accepted the verdict from the panel of judges. "I accept it, Your Honor", he said.

A similar question was asked by Damis to the general practitioner.

However, the prosecutor stated that he was still thinking about the options for appealing the sentence of Brigadier General Prasetijo.

Brigjen Prasetijo Utomo was sentenced to imprisonment for 3 years and 6 months, also demanded to pay a fine of IDR 100 million, a subsidiary of 6 months

Also, Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo who is the former Head of the Supervisory Coordinating Bureau of the National Police-Criminal Investigation Unit said to receive money worth USD 100 thousand.

The money was given by Tommy Sumardi to remove Joko Tjandra's name from the DPO list at Immigration and red notice.
