72 Candidates For Drivers Mulai Praktik Langsung Di Kereta Cepat

JAKARTA - A total of 72 prospective drivers from Indonesia have started to practice directly in the driver's cabin which operates every day.

The practice is a follow-up stage of the transfer of knowledge from the fast train driver?

KCIC's Corporate Secretary, Eva Chairunisa, said that the prospective drivers carried out on Job Training by accompanying the professional high-speed train driver from China. Different from the previous stage where the prospective machinist studied theoretically in class and practiced in simulator machines.

"Prospective machinists will learn direct lessons and experiences related to the daily affairs of the driver. With this on Job Training activity, it is hoped that prospective drivers from Indonesia will be able to understand better how the high-speed train drivers work, because now they have gone directly to the field," Eva said in an official statement, Tuesday, May 14.

Eva said the prospective drivers participated in the entire series of activities of the coordinating driver on duty. Activities carried out ranging from official administration, health tests, handover processes for facilities, start and function tests, train crossings, and following train trips from initial to final stations in the cabin.

Furthermore, Eva said the prospective drivers observed how to operate the high-speed train, the communication process with the control center, communication with the train crew, handling emergency conditions, and various work processes in other driver's cabins.

"The prospective machinists were also accompanied by translators during the on Job Training process so that the explanation given by the professional driver could be well understood by the prospective Indonesian machinist," he said.

Each train stops at the station, continued Eva, an evaluation is always carried out between the driver's instructor and the prospective Indonesian driver. The prospective machinist is given an understanding of the importance of every aspect in the cabin and various SOPs that are enforced in various conditions when operating high-speed trains.

"At this Job Training, prospective Indonesian drivers can only observe during the Halim-Tegalluar PP route that operates to transport passengers," he explained.

For direct operation, it can only be carried out when the train departs from Tegalluar Station to Tegalluar Depo and vice versa, prospective Indonesian machinists immediately operateASH accompanied by a driver and professional driver instructor.

Eva explained, from all these activities, it is hoped that the capabilities and skills of this prospective driver will be honed.

This process also trains the physical resilience of prospective machinists so that later when on duty they are ready to be both physically, mentally, and competent.

The process of transfer knowledge is one of the crucial parts of the high-speed rail project in Indonesia. The goal is that the Indonesian nation can be independent in operating this fast train. Furthermore, so that Indonesian human resources can share this knowledge to improve the competence of the nation's best sons and daughters in the future," concluded Eva.
