Revealed, The Heinous Murder Of French Teacher Samuel Paty Because Of His Students' Lies About Prophetic Cartoons

JAKARTA - The murder case followed by the beheading of French history teacher Samuel Paty on October 16, 2020, at Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, a suburb of Paris, entered a new chapter.

This happened after a student who was also his student admitted that he had lied about the statement that left Patty dying. The student with the initials Z revealed that he previously claimed Paty had asked Muslim students in the class during a discussion on freedom to express their opinions on October 6, 2020.

A moment later, Paty said Z showed a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad which was published in the controversial Charlie Hebdo Newspaper in 2012.

This lie was made because he was suspended for repeatedly failing to attend class hours. Not wanting to be scolded for being suspended from school, he made up the story to his father. In addition, he was suspended for two days due to disapproval over the appointment of the controversial caricature.

Moroccan-born father Brahim Chnina, 48, who doesn't accept his child's story, shares a video on Facebook in which he denounces Paty and asks her to be fired from high school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine. An equally angry second video was posted on social media accusing Paty of 'discrimination'.

According to The Guardian, Chnina complained to the school and the police, claiming Paty was guilty of "distributing pornographic images" and sparking allegations of Islamophobia in the school leading to murder.

Video of Chnina spread, the problem rolled on social networks and reached Anzorov, 18, a Chechen migrant living in Normandy. On October 16, Anzorov traveled to Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, France to pay two teenagers from the school to identify Paty when she was leaving for home on Friday night and beheaded her. The lies have led to the murder of a man and the father of a five year old boy.

Paty's family is devastated, France is traumatized, and the girl and her father face criminal charges. Two other teenagers, who took money from the killer, Abdullakh Anzorov, are also being investigated.

On Sunday March 7, Le Parisien revealed that the girl who is familiarly called Z admitted that she had wrongly accused Samuel Paty. The newspaper said he confessed to the anti-terrorist judge investigating that he had lied. She wasn't even in the class where Paty was said to be showing students controversial caricatures.

"He would not have dared to admit to his father the real reason he was kicked out shortly before the tragedy, which was actually related to his bad behavior," Le Parisien reported.

Z initially clung to the story he composed, until the police informed him that some of his classmates had confirmed that he was not present for lessons and that Paty had not instructed Muslim students to leave the classroom as he claimed. Investigators reportedly said he had an inferiority complex syndrome.

The girl's lawyer, Mbeko Tabula, insisted the weight of the tragedy should not fall on the shoulders of a 13 year old girl.

"It was my father's exaggerated behavior, making and posting incriminating videos of the professor that caused this tragedy. My client lied, but even though it was true, his father's reaction was still disproportionate," Tabula told Parisien.

Chnina, who is being investigated for the matter, confessed to the police that she had acted stupid.

“I never thought my message would be seen by terrorists. I don't want to hurt anyone with that message. It's hard to imagine how we got here, that we lost a history professor and everyone blames me, ”he regretted.
