Vice President Inaugurates Launch Of Indonesia's Charity Space
JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin inaugurated the launch of the Indonesian Charity Room at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta.
"With Bismillairrahmanirrahim's words, I declare that the Indonesian Charity Room is officially launched," said the Vice President giving a speech at the inauguration ceremony reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 14.
The inauguration of the launch was also marked by the granting of operational permits to the Indonesian Charity Room as a national zakat institution.
"This means that the amil zakat institution has increased and that has obtained permission from the Ministry of Religion and I think it needs to be increased because the potential for zakat and waqf is very large," he said.
The Vice President hopes that the Indonesian Charity Room will be one of the accelerators for the transformation of sharia social fund management and have a real impact on realizing the welfare of the people.
"For that, I hope that through the Indonesian Charity Room, people can distribute their zakat safely and trustedly," said the Vice President.
Ma'ruf Ammin also asked that later the Indonesian Charity Room would continue to strengthen the synergy of multi-party parties, including the Indonesian Zakat Development Acceleration Team that had been formed.
