Police Investigate Scout Guidance Case Allegedly Harassing High School Students

PALEMBANG - Polrestabes Palembang, South Sumatra is investigating an extracurricular coaching case suspected of harassing a high school student.

"Yes, there were reports from residents to the SPKT Polrestabes Palembang. We immediately investigated the perpetrators, allegedly unscrupulous scout coaches who harassed a student," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Palembang Polrestabes AKBP Haris Dinzah, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 14.

The victim's report has been submitted to the SPKT of the Palembang Polrestabes in the crime of child protection of Law number 17 of 2016 concerning Article 76 E junto 82 of the Criminal Code with the number LP/B/1214/V/SPKT/Polrestabes Palembang/Polda Sumsel.

Based on the victim's brother, MD, the incident began when the victim was told to be reported to take the items that were left behind in the rented party.

Arriving at the rented house, the victim was told to wait outside but the reported immediately pulled the victim into the rented house and carried out sexual abuse.

MD said that for a year his younger brother's behavior seemed very scared. His younger brother was threatened by the reported not to report what he had done to anyone by threatening via Whatsapp messages.

"Hopefully the perpetrators in this case will be caught quickly for us to handle further," said Haris Dinzah.
