Hukum Hajar Aswad, Doa, Dan Ketamahannya

YOGYAKARTA Hajj pilgrims are advised to kiss Hajar Aswad during Tawaf. Unfortunately, sometimes the crowded conditions make it impossible for the congregation to approach Hajar Aswad. Then how is the law to kiss Hajar Aswad?

Prophet Muhammad SAW said that Hajar Aswad was a stone from Heaven. This explanation is as a hadith narrated by Sunan Tirmidzi which means as follows.

Meaning:

From Ib Abbas, he said Rasulullah said, Hajar Aswad came down from heaven, very white than milk, then black due to human sins. (Sunan Tirmidzi, 308).

As he explained, Hajar Aswad is a stone. When viewed from the photo of Hajar Aswad closely resembles a stone in general. However, this stone is highly respected and even advised to kiss Hajar Aswad.

Reporting from the NU Online Jombang website, kissing Hajar Aswad is sunnah's law or getting a reward if it is implemented, but if it is not carried out, it is innocent. The law of kissing Hajar Aswad is as narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslims, which means as follows.

Meaning:

From Ibnu Umar that he saw Rasulullah SAW kissing aswad, (HR. al-Bukhari and Muslim).

Despite being punished by sunnah, Hajj pilgrims are not advised to force themselves too much that they have the potential to hurt themselves and other congregants. However, if the session and conditions allow, the male congregation is bid to put their forehead to Hajar Aswad and then touch and then kiss him three times.

If the congregation is really unable to touch Hajar Aswad directly, the way to kiss Hajar Aswad is enough by touching the end of the stick on Hajar Aswad, then kissing the tip of the link. However, if this method still cannot be done, the congregation can hint with their right hand and then kiss the hand.

The conditions around Hajar Aswad will be very crowded and congested by other pilgrims, not only from Indonesia but from all over the world. When the congregation manages to face Hajar Aswad, it is recommended to read the prayers given by Umar's friends. The following is a prayer when near Hajar Aswad, quoted from NU Online.

From Nafi', he said, one day Ibnu Umar will wipe Hajar Aswad, he prays: Allahumma faithan bika, wa tasdiqan bi doliika, wa sunnati watyyika Muhammadin Sallallahahu alaihi wa sallam. Then Ibb Umar read the Prophet Muhammad's prayer and stroke Hajar Aswad (Mu'jam Tabrani, 1783).

The meaning of the prayer simply explains that those who express their faith in front of Hajar Aswad will get a defense on the Day of Resurrection. Hajar Aswad will witness someone's faith.

While in the area around Hajar Aswad, many unique events were shared by the pilgrims. One of them is Lola Amaria's spiritual experience kissing Hajar Aswad.

The priority of Hajar Aswad bida is known from Ali Bin Abi Tholib's explanation which explains as follows.

"Indeed, when Allah took a promise to Adam's descendants, He set a letter and placed it on Hajar Aswad. The stone will be a witness for Muslims who keep their promises, as well as being a witness for infidels who deny it," Ali explained.

The explanation is based on the word of Allah SWT in the letter Al-A'raf verse 173 concerning promises that Adam's children and grandchildren agreed to when they were still in the spirit. (Al-Ghazali, Ihywa Ul LalumidZmen, 2016: Juz 1, h. 327), reported by NU Online.
