Governor Of Bali Issues Pergub, Bule Bule Prokes Violators Fined Rp1 Million To Deportation

DENPASAR - Bali Governor Wayan Koster again issued a Bali Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 10 of 2021. This Pergub regulates the application of discipline and enforcement of health protocols as well as the control of COVID-19.

"This Governor Regulation is an amendment from Pergub Number 46 of 2020 concerning the application of discipline and law enforcement of health protocols as an effort to prevent and control COVID-19 in a new era of life," said Koster in a written statement, Tuesday, March 9.

This Governor Regulation was issued because of the high transmission of COVID-19 in Bali, which was marked by an increase in daily cases.

In addition, this Pergub adds to the provisions regarding sanctions for foreign citizens (WNA) or foreign tourists visiting Bali. Foreigners violating health protocols will be fined Rp1 million for the first violation. If the violation of the prokes is repeated by the same foreigner, the sanction is deportation.

"Handling violations by foreigners or foreign tourists, apart from involving elements of the TNI, Polri, and / or Satpol PP, also involves related vertical agencies such as the Regional Office of Law and Human Rights in Bali Province," added Koster.

In addition, Koster conveyed Circular (SE) Number 6 of 2021, concerning the extension of the Enforcement of Village-based or sub-district-based Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in the new era of life in Bali.

In this SE, there are several new arrangements which are changes from the previous SE No. 05/2021. Namely, activities in restaurants or restaurants and stalls and the like for on-site services are carried out at a maximum of 50 percent of normal capacity.

Furthermore, for Domestic Travel Players (PPDN) who will enter the area of Bali, there are changes with the provisions for those traveling by air transportation are required to show a negative result of the PCR-based swab test no later than 2 x 24 hours before departure or a negative result of the test The Antigen Rapid Test, which was originally 1 x 24 hours at most, is changed to a maximum of 2 x 24 hours before departure.

Meanwhile, travelers by land and sea transportation are still required to show a negative result of the PCR-based swab test or negative result of the Rapid Antigen Test no later than 3 x 24 hours before departure.

"With a more relaxed regulation, it is hoped that it will provide greater opportunities for traders and other business actors to increase economic activity in the community. This Circular comes into effect on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, until Monday, March 22, 2021," said Koster.
