Subang Police Reveals Chronology Of Tourism Bus Accidents Containing Vocational High School Students
The tourism bus containing a group of students from SMK Lingga Kencana Depok had an accident in Ciater District, Subang Regency, West Java.
Head of Public Relations of the Subang Police, AKP Yusman, said that a tourism bus accident numbered AD 7524 OG occurred on the Palasari Village highway, Ciater District.
The accident occurred on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at around 18.45 WIB. The incident began when the bus carrying the group of students passed from Bandung to Subang.
When passing a downhill road, the bus suddenly swerved to the right and crossed the opposite lane until it hit a Feroza minibus vehicle number D 1455 VCD.

After hitting a minibus on the opposite lane, the bus's condition rolled over. The position of the left tire was above until it slipped, hitting three motorbikes parked on the shoulder of the road.
When slipping on the downhill road, the bus stopped after hitting an electric pole on the shoulder of the road.
AKP Yusman further said the fatal accident involved five vehicles, namely one bus, one Feroza minibus, and three motorcycles.
Head of the Subang Regency Transportation Agency, Asep Setia Permana, said the tourism bus was carrying passengers who were SMK students from Depok, West Java.
The bus crossed Jalan Ciater because it was heading back to Depok after traveling at a tourist spot in Bandung.
As a result of the accident, the Subang Health Office reported that 60 people are currently victims. A total of 11 of them died, 27 were seriously injured, and 13 were moderately injured.
The victims were rushed to a number of nearby health facilities, including Ciereng Hospital, Hamori Hospital, Jalancagak Health Center, Palasari Health Center, PTPN Subang Hospital, and Mitra Medika Tammbakan Hospital.
