Ganjar Responds To Prabowo Talking About Opposition: I Remind Those Who Cooperate Can Be Disrupted
JAKARTA - Ganjar Pranowo said it was not only the opposition that could disturb the government. People inside and claiming to be supporters can also do it.
This statement was made by Ganjar replying to the words of the elected president for the 2024-2029 period, Prabowo Subianto regarding the opposition when the Bimtek of DPR/DPRD PAN members throughout Indonesia and the 2024 Pilkada National Coordination Meeting which was held in Jakarta on Thursday, May 9.
The general chairman of the Gerindra Party said that he was welcome to become an opposition, but not to interfere with the future government.
"Yes, those who work together can disturb you. I remember that, don't let the inside disturb you," said Ganjar to reporters in the Tebet area, South Jakarta, Friday, May 10.
Ganjar said that those in the government could interfere with various methods, one of which was to practice corruption. Thus, the figure outside to carry out surveillance is very necessary.
"Umpama kita ingin menciptakan pemerintah bersih, tetapi korupsi di dalam. Itu mengganggu. Yang di luar-jangan malah membantu karena mengingatkan yang baik, dan check and balances akan berjalan," tegas Ganjar.
The presidential candidate number three assesses that anyone has the right to criticize the running of the government in the future. Ganjar said they may judge but should not make trouble.
"Say no in government, civilians do not participate in government, you know. Civil society can provide critical notes. So we must open the check and balances room," he said.
"But it's true, if it disturbs it is destructive, we agree not to," continued Ganjar.
Prabowo Subianto, the elected presidential candidate for the 2024-2029 period, advised anyone who does not want to join in supporting the government in the future, there is no problem. However, they are reminded not to interfere with the program that has been announced.

Initially, Prabowo expressed his commitment to embrace all parties in the new government.
"In all organizations, some are good, some are not good. Now, how can the good of all backgrounds cooperate," said Prabowo, yesterday.
The former Danjen Kopassus said cooperation with all parties was needed for Indonesia's future. However, he could not force the parties who did not agree.
"I will continue to fight with all the strengths that I want to cooperate with. Those who don't want to be invited to cooperate, that's okay," said Prabowo.
"If anyone wants to watch on the side of the road, please be a good audience. But if you don't want to be invited to cooperate, don't bother," he concluded.
