NIKI Introduces New Material From The Third Album, 'Too Much Of A Good Thing'

JAKARTA - Nicole alias NIKI announced the schedule for the release of her new album titled 'Buzz'. The third album will be released on August 9.

To introduce his new album, the singer and songwriter who was born in Jakarta 25 years ago released a single titled 'Too Much Of A Good Thing', which is the material of the new album.

This song was written by NIKI and assisted by Phoebe Bridgers, Bon Iver, and Kimbra. Meanwhile, Ethan Gruska helped as a producer.

This is a fun and ironic song about the passion, imagination, and arena of games between the excitement and indifferentness they create. It's about the initial anticipation that we all know and love when there's a little extra passion in every step," NIKI said in a press release received by VOI, Friday, May 10.

"I wrote it with my very talented friend, Ethan Gruska, when I listened a lot to Fleetwood Mac and The Beatles. And it was one of the earliest ideas to give birth to this album."

Meanwhile, the 'Buzz' is referred to as an album with a set of warm folk-rock songs, which are gripping among those closest to NIKI, which he said were experiencing an identity crisis.

"It took a lot of experiments and mistakes, and I found a part of myself along the way. I told Buzz because it felt like it was at the deadline for something to happen," he said.

On the 'Buzz', the writing of the song remains as intimate as usual. NIKI is inspired by other female pioneers who write honest and recognition lyrics with guitar accompaniments, such as Joni Mitchell, tarel Nicks, men's Simon, and Liz Phair.
