Instead Of Cawe-cawe Formation Of Cabinet, Jokowi Is Advised To Leave Name To Prabowo

JAKARTA President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is advised to leave a name and there is no need to mess or interfere in the establishment of the Prabowo Subianto government cabinet.

"Actually, Mr. Jokowi doesn't need to worry about the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet, because cabinet matters are the matter of the prerogative of the elected president Prabowo Subianto," said political observer from Al Azhar University Ujang Komarudin when contacted, Friday, May 10, 2024.

According to him, Jokowi is sufficient to leave a name to Prabowo if someone is entrusted in the upcoming government cabinet.

He considered that as the party that also contributed to winning Prabowo, it was a natural thing for Jokowi to entrust his people as ministers.

Moreover, continued Ujang, in Indonesian politics, sending names is something that is not strange.

"So don't mess around, destroy your image. Yes, don't mess around, just leave it. Because after all, Jokowi will damage himself who will land on October 20, 2024, so actually what is good is to leave people close to him, please go to Prabowo," he said.

Ujang explained, if Jokowi decides to mess up, then it will not be healthy in building the quality of democracy in the future.

Therefore, it would be more polite if Jokowi only left his name and was not careless in Prabowo-Gibran's cabinet affairs.

"Yes, if I see it that way, because I entrust it, it is very polite and ordinary in politics. But if it's an intervention, the elected president also certainly doesn't want to intervene and the people will judge it negative," he said.
