Early Debut Of The Year, Hyundai Creta Facelift Sold More Than 15,000 Units In April In India
JAKARTA - Hyundai Creta facelift launched in India in January with a number of improvements. Thanks to some of the elements that have been relieved, this SUV experienced a surge in sales.
Reporting from India's Autocar, Tuesday, May 7, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) noted that this latest Creta was sold for up to 15,447 units during April or an average of 15,000 units each month.
The South Korean manufacturer said the model controlled more than 50 percent of its total orders of around 70,000 units. Hyundai says it has added more than 100,000 units since its launch earlier this year.
Domestic market growth of 12.5 percent YoY is above similar growth recorded last year. Therefore, the type of demand that Creta is able to generate in the domestic market is extraordinary," said Chief Operating Officer of HMIL Tarun Garg.
Meanwhile, the company announced 35,140 units had been sold in the SUV segment last April. Apart from Creta, Venue models sold 9,122 units and Exter with a total of 7,756 units.
Following Hyundai's design philosophy in the global market, namely Sensulous Sportiness, Creta facelift offers the convenience of driving with a bolder design. The car gets some more premium changes from the outside to its interior.
For the kitchen runway, this car is given a 1.5 liter of gasoline and diesel engine which has its own power. The 1.5L gasoline engine produces 115 PS and 144 Nm of power, while the 1.5L diesel engine produces 116 PS and 250 Nm of power.
Meanwhile, the latest 1.5 liter turbo gasoline machine option is also presented with a maximum of 160 PS and 253 Nm torque. There are also several transmission options, including manual six accelerations, CVT, automatic torque converters six accelerations, and dual-clutch seven accelerations.
Regarding prices, this compact SUV is priced from 1.099 million rupees to 1.999 million rupees, equivalent to Rp206.6 million to Rp376 million.
