The Peak Point Of The 2024 Thomas Uber Cup Team Travel For Two Weeks

JAKARTA The Indonesian men's and women's teams have pumped their struggles to the maximum limit for two weeks even though they have not managed to win the 2024 Thomas & Uber Cup title.

The contingent of women's team championships and men landed at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta, on Monday, May 6, 2024, evening. They arrived in the country with silver medals aka runners-up both in the Thomas Cup and the 2024 Uber Cup.

The Head of PBSI's Development and Achievement Division, Ricky Soebagdja, who plays the role of manager of the Indonesian team in the 2024 Thomas & Uber Cup, said that the runners-up results obtained by the two teams were the result of the bloody hard work.

"Today we have returned to the country after about two weeks of fighting in Chengdu, China. Tim Thomas, Tim Uber, we both know the results are runners-up," Ricky said while giving a speech.

The women's and men's teams both lost against the host China in the final party. The women's team were forced to give up with a landslide score of 0-3, while Jonatan Christie and his friends lost 1-3.

The final round led by the women's team has exceeded the semifinal target that was charged to them. The men's team runners-up deviated slightly from their goals, namely bringing home the 2024 Thomas Cup trophy.

Ricky said that the struggle of both teams was truly extraordinary. They have spent all their potential to meet the targets set by the federation.

"Team Uber dan Tim Thomas sebagai runner-up, tetapi mereka tetap juara, menurut saya. Itu karena perjuangannya yang begitu luar biasa," kata Ricky, yang merupakan pemeraih medali emas ganda putra Olimpiade Atlanta 1996.

The runner-up results made the title drought of the women's team in the Uber Cup must continue. The last time Indonesia successfully brought home the Uber Cup trophy was in 1996 or 28 years ago when it took place in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, the runner-up men's team are the second in a row from the three finals in the last three editions of the 2024 Thomas Cup. They won one other runner-up in the 2022 edition when they lost against India.
