KLB Democrats Agree To Raise Moeldoko As Ketum Not Because Of The KSP Position
JAKARTA - Moeldoko's accusation of being a palace representative to take over the Democratic Party from the leadership of Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) was denied by senior cadre Jhoni Allen. This also answers public statements after the Extraordinary Congress (KLB) process appointed the Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko as the general chairman replacing AHY.
Through the video caption, Jhoni explained the reason for the KLB participants to appoint Moeldoko as the general chairman because he personally promised hopes for change. In addition, the former TNI Commander is considered to have sympathy and respect for a number of parties, including cadres.
"That's what makes us (cadres, red) want him (Moeldoko, red) to be the chairman," said Jhoni in a video received by VOI, Monday, March 8.
He also explained that the initial initiative to approach Moeldoko came from cadres within the party. He admitted that many cadres were interested in the figure and figure of this retired general.
In addition, the election process for Moeldoko was carried out constitutionally through the stages of the KLB event and as a result, he outperformed another candidate, Marzuki Alie, who participated in the candidacy for general chairman in this KLB.
"In the next voting, Moeldoko exceeded Marzuki Alie's votes," he said.
After he explained this, Jhoni hoped that there would be no more parties linking Moeldoko's election with the Palace. This is because there is no strong reason for dragging the relationship between the Palace and Moeldoko's election.
"It has nothing to do with Moeldoko's position (Sir, red)," he said.
The KLB of the Democrat Party in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, appointed Moeldoko as General Chair for the 2021-2025 period. When appointed, the Presidential Chief of Staff was not at the KLB location.
However, shortly after the decision was issued, one of the Democratic KLB participants, Darmizal, tried to contact Moeldoko by telephone. Darmizal asked Moeldoko to give direction to the cadres of the Democratic Party.
"Before this break, we hope you can convey a few words," said Darmizal at The Hill Hotel and Resort, Deli Serdang, Friday, March 5.
"Ladies and gentlemen, answer my questions to make sure, please answer them. Is this KLB in accordance with AD / ART or not?" said Moeldoko to the participants. Darmizal's phone was turned on by a loud speaker and connected to a microphone so that all participants could be heard.
"Appropriate," replied the KLB participant compactly.
"Secondly, I want you to be serious about choosing me to lead the Democratic Party, seriously or not?" asked Moeldoko.
"Seriously!" replied the KLB participant.
"I want to know how serious you are, working for the red and white above the interests of the group?" asked Moeldoko again.
"Red and white," they replied boisterously.
"Thus, I respect and respect your decision. Okay, we accept it," concluded Moeldoko.
Moeldoko was elected as Chairman of the Democratic Party in an extraordinary congress (KLB) which was held at The Hill Sibolangit Hotel, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, Friday, March 5. Moeldoko defeated Marzuki Alie, after the names of both were submitted by KLB participants in the trial.
"Hereby decides Mr. Moeldoko as the General Chair of the Democratic Party for the period 2021-2025," said Chairman of the Assembly Jhoni Allen.
Previously, the initiators of the KLB would register their results on Monday, March 8. However, an initiator of this congress, Hencky Luntung, said that his party would hand over all administration related to these activities to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) on Tuesday, March 9.
The reason is that they have not finished taking care of the administration which must be submitted to the ministry led by Yasonna Laoly.
"This administration has not finished yet. (Handover to Kemenkumham, red) is probably tomorrow," said Hencky when contacted by reporters.
However, he could not specify the time for the submission of the KLB document. "I still don't (know, ed) maybe in the afternoon. Anyway, we continue to fight. We finish the administration," he said.
Furthermore, after submitting the results of the Democrat KLB which was held in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, his party will make visits to a number of places such as the General Election Commission (KPU) and the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs. "We will go there too. We will definitely go. We prepare it," he concluded.
