Airin Submits Registration Forms For Candidates For Governor To DPW PAN

SERANG - The candidate for Governor of Banten Airin Rachmi Diany submitted the registration form for the prospective governor candidate to the PAN DPW.

"I have a long history with PAN, where in 2016 PAN was the first political party to carry me to become the Mayor of South Tangerang (Tangsel). I hope PAN will be part of the Banten Pilkada," Airin said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 6.

Airin carried out the registration and communication process for all political parties, not in order to form a grand coalition. However, according to him, the development of Banten in the future requires togetherness from political parties that have seats in the Banten DPRD.

"Not only during the nomination, when given the mandate to become governor of Banten, PAN also has factions in the Banten DPRD. I hope, we can work together and work together in order to provide benefits, benefit, and survive the afterlife," he said.

Airin admitted to registering with all parties that opened the selection of candidates for governor and deputy governor of Banten, such as the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), the National Awakening Party (PKB), Nasdem, the National Mandate Party (PAN), and the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).

"I am the person assigned and mandated by the Golkar Party to establish communication with parties participating in the Banten Pilkada, because my experience in South Tangerang cannot work alone," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Banten Province PAN DPW, Syafrudin, said that prospective candidates who register must follow the mechanism set by PAN. Then in the final stage, the decision to support is in the hands of the central leadership or DPP PAN.

"We will convey this form, whoever is carried later the PAN DPP will determine, while from the internal PAN itself there is no one yet," he said.
