LPS Records Rich Savings Above IDR 5 Billion Up 9.14 Percent
JAKARTA - The Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) noted that savings with a nominal value of more than IDR 5 billion recorded an increase of up to 9.14 percent in April 2024.
Chairman of the LPS Board of Commissioners Purbaya Yudhi Sadive explained that the savings category for the rich grew faster than the position in February 2024.
"We see that deposits at the Commercial Bank above Rp5 billion grew by 9.14 percent. It grew much faster than February, which was 6.10 percent," he said at a press conference on the results of the KSSK meeting, reported by the Ministry of Finance's YouTube, Friday, May 3.
In addition to savings with a nominal value of more than IDR 5 billion, Purbaya also said that the link below IDR 100 million also grew.
"The good thing is that under Rp. 100 million it also grew well in March it grew by 7.3 percent, an increase compared to February 5.17 percent," he explained.

According to Purbaya, the increase in savings growth implies that the distribution of economic improvements is starting to be felt by the community.
"This looks like the economic repair cake is starting to be felt by the community, which also illustrates that the stability of our economy going forward should be even stronger," he said.
