Prabowo's Plan Response Palace Forms "Presidential Club"
JAKARTA - Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana emphasized the importance of a president to continue to stay in touch with all former presidents, when commenting on the proposed formation of Prabowo Subianto's Presidential Club.
"Whether or not there is a Presidential Club, the President and all former presidents are very important to stay in touch," Ari said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 3.
According to Ari, this has also been done by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) so far, by always maintaining friendship with former presidents, former vice presidents, and other national figures.
"What is certain (consaturation) will be useful for the progress of the nation and state," he said.
Spokesperson for the elected president Prabowo Subianto, Dahnil Azhar Simanjuntak, revealed Prabowo's plan to form a Presidential Club filled with former presidents who are still alive today.
The establishment of the club, according to Dahnil, aims to keep former presidents routinely meeting and discussing strategic national issues.

Dahnil said Prabowo hopes that leaders in Indonesia can work together to work for the interests of the people, regardless of their differences in views and political attitudes.
He also believes that at the time, Prabowo will definitely meet with the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Jokowi, the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri.
The KPU previously appointed Prabowo Subianto and his partner, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as president and vice president-elect of the Republic of Indonesia for the period 2024-2029.
Prabowo-Gibran is scheduled to be sworn in on October 20.
