The Minister Of Home Affairs Submits 207 Million Data On The Population Of The 2024 Pilkada Voters

JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian submitted data on potential population of election voters or DP4 for the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada to the General Election Commission (KPU) on the 2nd floor, KPU Building, Imam Bonjol Street, Menteng, Central Jakarta, last Thursday.

The DP4 was received by the Chairman of the KPU Hasyim Asy'ari with a total of 207,110,768 elections.

"Yes, today we submit DP4 for the Pilkada on November 27, 2024. This data is taken from the Ministry of Home Affairs' duplicate data so that one of the tasks is the responsibility of the government. To prepare this potential voter data," Tito said after handing over DP4 to the KPU chairman, Hasyim Asy'ari at the KPU office.

Tito explained that the DP4 consists of two criteria. First, population data aged 17 years until November 27, 2024 or already have the right to vote. Second, population data other than members of the TNI-Polri because members of the TNI-Polri do not have the right to vote.

"Well, from the available data, it was stated that the total was 207,110,768 people. For the male 103,228,748 people, the female was slightly more than 103,882,020 people," he said.

Tito said the DP4 is still dynamic and can change. This is influenced by data on changing addresses, death data and population data that are included as members of the TNI-Polri

"Then while walking later with the KPU, the KPU validates, synchronizes based on other databases, DPT and we will continue to run if there are changes so that on D day we hope that all those who have the right to vote are really recorded," said Tito.

Furthermore, Tito said that he expected support from the KPU to update the data. Including ensuring the safety of DP4 which is also personal data.

"The second is the security system because it transports data that must be protected, regarding public data. So KPU security, the KPU security system," Tito concluded.
