Team In Liga 1 2024/2025: West Representative To East Indonesia Complete
JAKARTA - The 2023/2024 Liga 1 competition has been completed and has presented a list of representatives for the next season. In the 2024/2025 League 1 season, 18 teams will appear, of which the teams fully represent the west to east of Indonesia.
In next season's competition, the excitement will increase along with the presence of PSBS Biak who won a promotion ticket representing Papua. PSBS will be the only Papuan representative in Liga 1 next season or the first since Persipura was relegated in 2022.
In addition, there is also North Maluku who became the first Maluku representative in the highest level competition for Indonesian football in the last 16 years. Malut United will be the first Maluku representative since Persiter Ternate last enlivened Indonesia's highest competition in 2008.

There is also Semen Padang who has moved up to Liga 1 for the first time since 2019, as well as being the only representative of Sumatra since Persiraja Banda Aceh dropped caste in 2022.
Thus, there are seven teams from outside Java that include PSM Makassar, Borneo FC, Barito Putera, and Bali United.
While the other 11 are teams based on Java, such as Persija Jakarta, Persita Tangerang, Dewa United, Persib Bandung, Persis Solo, PSIS Semarang, PSS Sleman, Persebaya Surabaya, Persik Kediri, Madura United, and Arema FC.
