PSI Suspects That Gerindra's Voice Inflated In The South Nias Dapil
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) said there were allegations of inflating votes belonging to the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) to fill candidates for district DPRD members in North Sumatra Province in the South Nias 5 Election Area.
This was revealed in the preliminary examination hearing for the 2024 Pilleg General Election Result Dispute (PHPU) case at the Constitutional Court building, Jakarta, Thursday, May 2.
Valid as the Petitioner is PSI and as the Respondent is the KPU.
PSI's attorney, Kamaruddin, explained that there were differences in the votes obtained by PSI and the Gerindra Party in the South Nias 5 electoral district between the counting of his party and the General Election Commission (KPU).
"According to the Respondent, PSI's vote was 1,616 votes, while the petitioner's voice according to the Petitioner was 1,833 votes. This means that there was a reduction in the petitioner's voice by 217 votes," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
For the votes acquired by the Gerindra Party, continued Kamaruddin, the votes determined by the KPU were 1,720 votes. Meanwhile, according to PSI, Gerindra's votes were 1,604 votes. That way, there was an additional 116 votes.
He said the alleged inflated vote of the Gerindra Party occurred in Sidua'ori District, South Nias. Meanwhile, the alleged violation of PSI's vote reduction occurred in Toma District.
"With the inflated votes of the Gerindra Party and the reduction in the votes of the Petitioner in Sidua'ori District and Toma District, there has been a dispute over votes," he said.
Regarding the alleged violation, PSI has filed a protest during the sub-district-level recapitulation stage in Sidua'ori and Toma sub-districts, but the sub-district voter committee (PPK) has not heeded it and the party did not receive a special incident form.

"As a result of the dispute over votes, the Petitioner was harmed because it was the Petitioner who should have received the seventh seat in the South Nias 5 electoral district in the South Nias Regency DPRD, North Sumatra Province," he said.
For this description, in its petitum, PSI requested that the Constitutional Court cancel the KPU Decree Number 360 of 2024 as long as the filling of candidates for members of the South Nias Regency DPRD in the South Nias 5 electoral district and determine the correct vote acquisition results according to the party's calculations.
"Stipulating the correct vote acquisition according to the Petitioner for membership of the South Nias Regency DPRD in the South Nias 5 electoral district, namely for PSI as many as 1,833 votes and Gerindra Party as many as 1,604 votes," he said.
The trial was held in panel one led by the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo as chairman of the panel and accompanied by Constitutional Justices Daniel Yusmic P. Foekh and M. Guntur Hamzah.
