Can It Be? ASN In Jenoponto, South Sulawesi, To Sell Methamphetamine
JENOPONTO - A man who works as a state civil servant (ASN) of the Jeneponto Regency Government, South Sulawesi (Sulsel) became a seller of methamphetamine with a profit of IDR 1.4 million.
An ASN named Risno Sutaryo (42) was arrested by officers from the South Sulawesi Regional Police's Narcotics Directorate along with evidence of methamphetamine. The evidence of methamphetamine was thrown by the perpetrator into his house on Jalan Lanto Daeng Pasewang, Empong Village, Binamu District, Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi.
From the results of the examination, the evidence of methamphetamine weighs 4 grams, and has been divided into several small packages for sale, with a profit of IDR 1.4 million from the purchase price of IDR 4 million.
"Each package is sold for Rp. 200,000. It is estimated that the profit per package is Rp. 800,000. Then for 1 gram divided into two or into half in each package, it is offered at a price of Rp. 600,000," said Head of Sub-Directorate II of the South Sulawesi Police Narcotics Directorate, AKBP M Fajri Mustafa, Wednesday 1 May.
The perpetrator who served in the regional secretariat of the Jeneponto Regency Government sold drugs to relatives and to close friends. "The purchasers are certain people or those closest to them who are trusted," he continued.
He obtained methamphetamine from a dealer with the initials A who is currently still being chased by the police.
It is known that the ASN who was able to become a seller of methamphetamine was the second time dealing with the law. Previously in 2018, he was also arrested by the police and sentenced to 2 years in prison for a similar case.

The perpetrators who have been detained at the Narcotics Directorate of the South Sulawesi Police will be charged with Article 114 paragraph (1) subsidiary Article 112 paragraph (1) of the Law on Narcotics with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
