Soetta Airport Taxi Driver Beaten By Two Robbers: Neck Entangled In Mine, Chest Stabbed In Knife
JAKARTA - ST (35) and MS (19), two porters could only surrender when they were arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kembangan Police. Both were arrested for trying to rob a Toyota Calya car belonging to an online taxi driver in Taman Alfa Indah, Joglo Village, Kembangan District, West Jakarta.
Kembangan police chief, Kompol Billy Gustiano Barman said the two perpetrators robbed the victim by pretending to be an online taxi passenger. The incident began when an online taxi driver with the initials SL (32) was waiting for passengers at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang.
Then SL gets an order through an application to take passengers from Jalan Raya Kampung Melayu, Tangerang, to Petukangan, South Jakarta. Arriving at the pick-up point, it turned out that the two men ordered.
They got into the car and sat on the passenger bench. On the way, upon arrival at the Taman Alfa Indah housing, one of the perpetrators with the initials ST, asked to stop because he wanted to urinate.
However, suddenly another perpetrator with the initials MS immediately charged the victim's neck with a rope. The victim tried to withstand the attack with his left hand.
Then, ST stabbed the victim with a knife without a handle from behind, injuring the victim's chest and arms. The victim managed to escape and seek help from security and local residents.
Although the two perpetrators managed to take the victim's car, they were finally stopped and managed to be secured by security and local residents.
The perpetrators were about to run away but could not because a number of access points to housing entrances had been closed by security and local residents. Residents also reported to the Kembangan Police.
"We secured several pieces of evidence in the form of a dark red Toyota Calya car in 2023, a knife without a handle and a yellow rope and a blue white cellphone unit," said Kompol Billy when confirmed, Monday, April 29.
Meanwhile, the victim with the initials SL suffered stab wounds to his chest and arms. The victim was treated for medical assistance.
"The perpetrator admitted that he was desperate to rob him to fulfill his daily needs. So this incident was planned by the perpetrators," he said.
As a result of their actions, the two perpetrators were charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.
