Dani Pedrosa Achieves The Spanish MotoGP Podium Sprint Race 2024 Because Quartararo Gets A Penalty
JAKARTA - Dani Pedrosa, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing racer, was named owner of the third podium of the 2024 Spanish MotoGP Sprint Race at the Jerez Circuit on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
The decision was made because Fabio Quartararo was awarded an eight-second penalty.
Quartararo was hit by a penalty eight seconds after he was caught violating tire pressure rules on the Sprint Race.
Pedrosa, who finished fourth, moved up to third and got on the podium with winner Jorge Martin and runner-up Pedro Alcohol.
Meanwhile, Quartararo had to settle for being evicted to fifth behind Franco Morbidelli.

After an eight-second penalty, the Monster Energy Yamaha driver's record was 15.052 seconds apart from Jorge Martin. Previously, he recorded a difference of 7.052 seconds from the Sprint Race champion.
The third Podium is Pedrosa's first podium in the 2024 MotoGP Sprint Race. The 28-year-old racer was fielded by the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing wildcard racer.
Apart from that, the 2024 Spanish MotoGP Sprint Race gave birth to many dramas. Many riders crashed ahead of finishing.
Marc Marquez was no exception who fell while leading the race in the remaining four laps. However, he was able to continue the race and finish in seventh place.
Before the Sprint Race took place, the Jerez Circuit rained about an hour before starting. The riders went through the race with not completely dry.
