Great! The Indonesian Government Prepares Five Tourist Attractions For The World Water Forum Delegation
JAKARTA - The Indonesian government through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that there are five locations in Bali that will be visited by the delegates of the World Water Forum (WWF).
"The heads of state, ministers, delegates and participants in the world's largest water sector events are scheduled to visit a number of locations in Bali," said PUPR's statement quoted from its official Instagram account @kemenpupr, Saturday, April 27, 2024.
The first location that will be offered by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia is the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC). As the main venue for the 10th World Water Forum (WWF), the BNDCC is a new and most advanced convention facility in Bali.
This location can be reached in just 20 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport. BNDCC is in Nusa Dua's world-class resort complex and has easy access to many tourist sites in Bali.

Second, Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park. This 60 hectare (ha) park offers a place to watch art & cultural performances, exhibitions, and conferences. The tourist destination offers limestone plateaus and the beauty of a quiet garden in South Bali.
The area also has a main icon, namely the 120-meter-high Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue depicting Dewa Wisnu riding a Garuda bird.
The third location is Ubud. Located in the cool mountains, Ubud is often considered the heart of Balinese culture. As an art center, Ubud is home to the Balinese royal family which offers amazing natural views.
In these tourist areas, various museums and galleries also offer paintings, wood carvings, textiles, and all types of Balinese souvenirs.
Fourth, Teras Sawah Jatiluwih. This place offers a beautiful view of the irrigation rice fields contouring using Subak. Subak is a communal water system developed by Balinese farmers.
Subak itself was designated as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 2012. With a commitment to environmental conservation, hotel development in this area is strictly regulated and closely monitored.
The fifth location is the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Grand Forest Park. This mangrove and educational tourism conservation area is one of the destinations for the G20 Summit delegation visit in 2022.
This area is overgrown by 33 types of mangroves and is the habitat of various types of birds and water animals. With an area of 1,300 hectares (ha), the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Grand Forest Park is the best green fort in the southern coast of Bali.
"This is the information, who knows, it can inspire you when you visit Bali," he added.
The 10th World Water Forum focuses on four things, namely water conservation, clean water and sanitation, food and energy security, and mitigation of natural disaster.
A total of 244 sessions in the forum are expected to provide concrete results regarding the mainstreaming of integrated water management for small islands or Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) on Small Islands, the establishment of the center of excellence or the best practice for water and climate security or the Center of Excellence on Water and Climate Resilience (COE), as well as the determination of World Lake Day.
The Indonesian government invited 43 ambassadors and four international organizations to participate and succeed in the 10th World Water Forum which will be held in Bali on 18-25 May 2024.
