KPUPR Calls The State Palace Ceremony Field At IKN Able To Accommodate 1,800 People

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Task Force (Satgas) for the Implementation of Infrastructure Development for the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) said that the field for the state palace ceremony at IKN was able to accommodate around 1,800 people.

"Wow, the capacity is big. The ceremonial field can accommodate around 1,800 people," said Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force (Kasatgas) of the Ministry of PUPR Danis Sumadilaga at the PUPR Ministry office, Jakarta, quoted on Saturday, April 27.

Danis said the area of the ceremony for the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at IKN reached around 14,250 square meters.

"The field is ready for use," he said.

Until now, the Ministry of PUPR continues to accelerate the completion of facilities and infrastructure for the ceremony to celebrate the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at IKN.

According to Danis, a number of basic infrastructures, ranging from the presidential office to the four coordinating ministry buildings, can be used for the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2024 at IKN, East Kalimantan. "God willing, it is ready (to be used)," he said.

For your information, the progress of basic infrastructure development in phase I at IKN has reached an average of 79.80 percent to date. Meanwhile, phase II has reached around 24 percent.

The plan is that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will hold the 79th Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony at IKN on August 17, 2024.

The celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2024 at IKN Nusantara, East Kalimantan, became the starting point for the gradual transfer of the nation's capital city from DKI Jakarta to East Kalimantan.
