JAKARTA - AirNav Indonesia issued notice to airmen (NOTAM) C0268 / 21 NOTAMC C0267 / 21 stating that the runway of Sultan Thaha Airport, Jambi, has returned to normal operations.

Pramintohadi Sukarno explained, the NOTAM announced to all air transportation stakeholders that the runway was back to normal operation on Sunday, March 7, starting at 08.45 WIB, after previously having a Batik Air aircraft. ID 6803 which made a return landing (return to base) due to technical problems on the aircraft.
"Batik Air ID 6803, Sultan Thaha Airport route - Soekarno Hatta Airport with registration number PK LUT took off on Saturday (6/3) at 13.28 WIB and then RTB at 13.51 WIB due to problems with the nose wheel. "There were no fatalities during the emergency landing process yesterday, the evacuation process of the aircraft from the runway could be completed this morning at 06.35 WIB," he said.
He explained that the evacuation process involved all air transportation stakeholders at Sultan Thaha Airport, Jambi.
"We received reports that this morning there was heavy rain, however, an ATR IW5030 aircraft with type ATR72 which took off from Hang Nadim Airport, Batam at 01.00 WIB landed at Sultan Thaha Jambi Airport at 02.22 WIB. The plane brought spare parts, equipment and technicians from Batam, "he said.
Batik Air aircraft can then be pulled from the runway to the apron smoothly, safely and safely. The airport management then carries out the process of cleaning and checking the foreign object debris (FOD) on the runway to ensure the safety of the runway re-operation.
"After the airport management has finished checking the FOD, then we will issue a NOTAM regarding the reopening of the runway operations at Sultan Thaha Airport," he said.
Aircraft movements affected today, according to him, include Lion Air 607 and Garuda Indonesia 127, both of which are routes from Sultan Thaha Airport - Soekarno Hatta Airport and have to postpone their departure. Garuda Indonesia was delayed until 11.05 WIB.
