Toyota Pamer 2 Latest BEV BZ3C And BZ3X On Beijing Auto Show 2024
JAKARTA - Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) took part in the Beijing Auto Show 2024 exhibition by showing off transformations centered on intelligence, electrification, and diversification.
In the exhibition, Toyota also launched two models of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), namely bZ3C and bZ3X, as part of Toyota's approach to achieving carbon neutrality.
"What type of BEV will make leg customers in China smile? In collaboration with local partners (China) we brought bZ3C and bZ3X," said Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Hiroki Nakajima when presenting the new cars, quoted from the company's release, Friday, April 26.
Hiroki said the model had been launched as a concept car at last year's exhibition, and had been upgraded to enter mass production.
"Toyota plans to start selling both of them in China within one year," he added.
Getting closer to bZ3C, the car was developed by Toyota with BYD Toyota EV Technology, FAW Toyota and Intelligent ElectroMobility R&D Center. By design, this electric crossover has a very dynamic 'Reboot' concept. In addition, this car has a distinctive feature that focuses on interesting features that create a fun private space for Generation Z.
Meanwhile, BZ3X was jointly developed by Toyota, Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd., GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., and IEM. This electric car will enliven the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment which is aimed at families, because it offers a large interior.
Toyota claims the two models above are equipped with a current driver assistance system and a smart cockpit, providing safe and comfortable driving and new experience values. The company will continue to strive to realize a mobility future full of smiles and diversity, meeting customers' needs in each region.
