Jokowi's Report, AHY Calls 2,086 Hectares Of Land For IKN Development In Trouble

JAKARTA - Minister of Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) revealed that there are 2,086 hectares of land for the construction of the capital city of the archipelago (IKN).

"We highlight that there are areas of land, especially 2,086 hectares, which are currently not clear, to be used for IKN development. So there are several locations where there are still people," AHY said after meeting Jokowi at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday 24 April.

AHY explained that a number of plots of land from 2,086 hectares of the land are priority areas for IKN development.

"Actually, of the 2,086 hectares, not all of them are prioritized. The first is the controller at the Sepaku flood control location, it covers an area of approximately 2.75 hectares, there are approximately 22 plots of land. Second, it is in a location that will be passed or is the construction of toll roads or freeways in the 6A and 6B segments. That is approximately 44.6 hectares or approximately 48 plots of land," explained AHY.

AHY said that President Joko Widodo asked the land acquisition process to be carried out humanely for the community.

"What is clear is that the emphasis from the President that we have recorded is of course, first in order to deal with or deal with the situation in the field we must approach it well, no one should be a victim. The community that we should protect should not lose money, let alone become victims. This is of course what we want to accelerate but do not want the grassiness to be carried out properly. We want all the stages to be carried out properly. The approach is humanist, and God willing, with that there will be no problems in the future and OIKN can carry out its duties properly," said AHY.
