South Jakarta Police Freezes Kidnapping Suspects In East Tebet
JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Metro Police have arrested the alleged perpetrator of the kidnapping of a victim with the initials BH on Jalan Tebet Timur Dalam Raya, South Jakarta.
South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Azis Andriansyah in Jakarta, Saturday, confirmed the disclosure of the kidnapping case that occurred on Monday, March 3.
However, he has not revealed further information including the identities of the perpetrators and victims because it is still under development.
"We are currently developing other allegations of the perpetrator," he said as quoted by Antara, Saturday.
Based on video recordings from the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit which was uploaded via the Instagram account @reskrim_jaksel and several other YouTube accounts, the police arrested two of the perpetrators.
The perpetrator was arrested after a joint team from the South Jakarta Metro Police carried out a raid on the perpetrators who were found to be in a house in West Cikarang, Bekasi.
Previously, the police received a report from the victim's brother who claimed he had not been able to contact BH in the last few days.
The victim's brother then visited the BH boarding house and received information from security officers at the boarding house who said that the victim was taken by car by several unknown people.
Currently, the police are still developing the kidnapping case, including pursuing other perpetrators who are suspected of being involved.
