Persebaya Determined To Reshuffle Next Season's Squad After Qualifying Liga 1 Relegation 2023/2024
JAKARTA - Persebaya Surabaya will certainly qualify from the relegation of Liga 1 2023/2024 and stay in the highest caste until next season. This opportunity was made by Paul Munster as coach of Bajul Ijo to reshuffle the squad.
This intention was revealed by Paul Munster because he felt that Persebaya was a big team that should not be in a position like when competing next season.
"Persebaya should not fall in the league, it shouldn't be in the position it is today. We will change that next season. We will prepare a strong team for next season, with better players," Paul Munster said in a statement as quoted on Tuesday, April 23.

Paul Munster has been determined to build a team framework next season to become a strong team. The 42-year-old coach even insists he will not see a team like this next season again.
Even though they failed to win points, Bajul Ijo's status was confirmed safe because in other matches Persita drew against Persik. This result makes Persita collect 33 points and will only reach 39 points if they win in the remaining matches.
With that calculation, Persebaya is safe because their head to head is superior to Persita Tangerang. So it is certain that Persita's ranking will not be better than Persebaya.
After being in the safe zone, Paul Munster, who has measured what must be fixed next season, has not forgotten the rest of the matches that still have to be played. For this reason, he asked that currently the team focus on the remaining two matches in the 2023/2024 season.
"Now we are focused on the next match, the last two games are all at home. We are also safe from relegation," said Paul Munster.
The Northern Irish coach reminded his team to play loose in the last two matches. The red card incident as in the previous two matches should not be repeated considering that the last two matches will be held at home.
