JAKARTA The Jakarta youth team Garuda Jaya is expected to be a solution for the limited supply of players for Indonesia's highest level volleyball league competition, Proliga.
This is a newcomer team in Proliga 2024. This team will be included in the competition in preparation for the U-20 Asian Championship which will be held in Surabaya on 23-30 July 2024.

Proliga 2024 starts rolling from April 25 to July 20 and 21, 2024. In total there are 14 teams, seven women's teams and seven men's teams each enliven the event.

The managers of the contestants admitted that they had quite difficulty chasing players to welcome the competition because the stock of players was running low.
"So, our task at PBVSI is to prepare the next tier again," said Loudry, who also serves as Deputy Chair of the Achievement Development Division at the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PBVSI).
Jakarta Garuda Jaya will start their journey in Proliga 2024 against Jakarta LavAni Allobank, former defending champion team owned by former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
The match between the two teams will be the opening match of the Proliga this season. The two clashed at GOR Amonggrogo, Yogyakarta, Thursday, April 25, 2024.
