Minister Of Health: Immune Appears After 28 Days Of Second COVID-19 Vaccine Injections
MANADO - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine for the emergence of new immunity will be effective 28 days after the second injection.
"Therefore, public awareness of the implementation of health protocols must be carried out properly," said the Minister of Health at the Declaration of COVID-19 Vaccination for Tourism Business Actors in Manado, North Sulawesi as quoted by Antara, Friday, March 5.
According to the Minister, the COVID-19 vaccination does not protect 100 percent against the virus. However, it can reduce the probability or risk of getting sick so it is hoped that the health protocol will continue to be implemented properly.
Meanwhile, Deputy Governor Steven Kandouw when accompanying the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno and the Minister of Health in the declaration added that the vaccination process in North Sulawesi was going well.
In the first stage, there are 22 thousand vaccines received by the local government, and as many as 64 thousand in the second stage.
"We give our appreciation for the fast regulation, which is given directly to, among others, tourism actors. With this we have a bright spot for all of us in North Sulawesi to quickly overcome the problems caused by COVID-19," said Steven Kandouw.
One of the tourism workers who received the vaccine, Olivia, was grateful that tourism businesses got priority on vaccines.
He is optimistic that this will have a positive impact on the revival of tourism and the creative economy, especially in a province with a population of more than 2.6 million.
"I feel happy to get my turn for vaccines, because we often meet many people including tourists. With this vaccine I feel safe and feel safe, even though the implementation of health protocols must also be maintained," said Olivia, a tourism worker at Ibis Manado.
