Today's Presidential Election Dispute Decision, Hasto PDIP: Hopefully The Constitutional Court Will Not Tap Palu Godam But A Golden Hammer

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto hopes that the democracy that is being fought for will reappear ahead of the decision on the Constitutional Court dispute trial (MK) today, Monday, April 22.

This was conveyed by him when he congratulated Kartini's Day on Sunday, April 21. He initially mentioned the figure of Raden Ajeng (RA) Kartini as a figure who deserves to be imitated.

"RA Kartini was visionary and born as a figure of resistance to political, cultural and legal oppression. Her struggle is very fundamental for democracy. Because various forms of oppression have actually turned into fighting energy," said Hasto in a written statement quoted on Monday, April 22.

Kartini is also considered to be an inspiration to many people, including PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri who volunteered as an amicuscuree or a court friend.

In addition, Kartini's thoughts are considered relevant and make professors, pro-democracy figures, civil society groups, and party elements continue to fight for democracy. Thus, the judges also held the same spirit.

"Hopefully the Constitutional Court hammer is not a knock on the hammer, but a gold hammer as emphasized by Mrs. Kartini, after dark, it will be clear. So that the dawn of democracy that we have fought for from the start will reappear and will be remembered continuously by the generation of the Indonesian nation," he said.

"With RA Kartini's spirit, the power of truth believes that the darkness of democracy is a light that removes the dark side of power," continued Hasto.

As previously reported, the Constitutional Court held a trial to read the decision on the dispute over the results of the 2024 presidential election (PHPU) on Monday, April 22. The reading will be held at 09.00 WIB.

"There are two decisions. Joined in the same courtroom in the same assembly," said Head of the Legal and Administrative Bureau of the Constitutional Court Fajar Laksono to reporters, Friday, April 19.

This decision was read out separately according to the case registration number submitted by the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD camps. The Constitutional Court confirmed that it had sent a letter containing a predetermined schedule to each camp as well as the KPU as the respondent, Prabowo-Gibran and his attorney, along with Bawaslu as the related parties.
