President Jokowi Plans To Inaugurate Panua Pohuwato Airport In Gorontalo, Monday 22 April 2024
JAKARTA - Panua Pohuwato Airport, in Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo Province, is planned to be inaugurated directly by President Joko Widodo. The inauguration will take place on Monday, April 22.
To ensure readiness, the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi also visited Panua Pohuwato Airport, in Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo Province today.
The readiness that is checked includes air and land side facilities such as waiting rooms, check-in counters, and also arrival terminals.
"The existence of Panua Pohuwato Airport is expected to develop the potential of Pohuwato Regency, including mining, plantations, fisheries, and tourism," Budi said in an official statement, Sunday, April 21.

For your information, Panua Pohuwato Airport has a runway of 1,200 m x 30 m, a taxiway of 15 m x 170 m, an apron of 110 m x 70 m, and a terminal building of 990 m2. That way, Panua Pohuwato Airport can accommodate ATR 72-600 aircraft.
On February 18, an inaugural pioneering flight was carried out by the airline SAMS Air using the type of DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft with the Gorontalo-Pohuwato-Palu (PP) flight route.
"Furthermore, Panua Pohuwato Airport serves flights on Thursdays and Sundays," said Budi.
