Annoying Because Of Often Eating Livestock, A Crocodile Was Arrested By Residents
PALEMBANG - A wild crocodile that was troubling because it preyed on livestock was caught by dozens of residents of Sriwijaya Baru Village, Air Sugihan District, Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regency, South Sumatra.
Head of Public Relations of the OKI Police, Iptu Hendi, when confirmed in Palembang, Saturday, confirmed the incident, while now the crocodile has been handed over to the Natural Resources Conservation Center (BKSDA).
"Yes, today at around 09.00 WIB the crocodile was caught by residents for disturbing residents and livestock and has now been handed over to the BKSDA," he said, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, April 20.

He said the crocodile had a length of more than four meters long, while according to residents, many reports of those who lost chickens were believed to have been eaten by the animal.
Residents also claimed to have seen the four crocodiles in the waters of Air Sugihan.
"In order to anticipate things that are not desirable, because many people who have activities in Sriwijaya Baru Village have been arrested by the crocodile," he said.
He appealed to residents to continue to increase their vigilance against crocodile attacks.
"So that unwanted things don't happen because they take human casualties and immediately report if they see crocodiles roaming near residents," he said.
