Pertamina And ENI Sign Upstream Oil And Gas Management Cooperation In The International Block
PT Pertamina (Persero) attended the signing of a Memo of Understanding (MOU) between Pertamina and ENI Sp.A to explore the potential for oil and gas exploration and production projects in several international blocks to support national energy security.
The signing of the MOU was carried out by the Director of Strategy, Portfolio, and Business Development of PT Pertamina (Persero) Salyadi Dariah Saputra and Upstream Director ENI Sp.A Luca Vignati in Amsterdam.
Also witnessed the signing of the MoU, Deputy Minister of SOEs Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati, and President Director of PT Pertamina Internasional EP Jaffee Arizon Suardin.
"This MOU will strengthen the synergy that has existed previously between Pertamina and ENI, both in Indonesian territory operations and the potential for cooperation to foreign blocs such as Africa and the Middle East," said Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati, Saturday, April 20.
According to Nicke, ENI is one of the oil and gas companies that has successfully explored. ENI also sees Indonesia as one of the focuses of its foreign business.
"This business meeting will strengthen the partnership between Pertamina and ENI, especially in countries where both Pertamina and ENI have stepped foot in the management of oil and gas blocks," he added.

Director of Strategy, Portfolio, and Business Development of PT Pertamina (Persero), Salyadi Dariah Saputra added, strengthening this collaboration will also provide opportunities for Pertamina to play a role in oil and gas management at the international level.
"The partnership with ENI is expected to increase Pertamina's ability to increase oil and gas reserves and production both at home and abroad so that it can strengthen national energy security," said Salyadi.
Pertamina's Vice President for Corporate Communication Fadjar Djoko Santoso revealed that Pertamina wants to strengthen its operations abroad as Pertamina's effort to increase oil and gas production which will later strengthen Pertamina as an energy company that goes global, as well as being able to utilize the production for domestic needs.
Pertamina Go Global's expansion was carried out to strengthen our role in foreign countries. Pertamina's synergy with ENI and other energy companies is also expected to support Pertamina's commitment to become a sustainable energy company," concluded Fadjar.
