JAKARTA - The National Police has issued a permit to hold a trial match between the U-23 National Team (Timnas) and several football clubs.
The permit was stated in a letter with registration number 1 / III / 2021 dated March 4, 2021. The letter was signed by the Head of the Police Security Intelligence Agency (Kabaintelkam) Komjen Paulus Waterpauw.
"The permit has been issued, the trial activities will be carried out on March 5 and March 7," said Karo Penmas Divi of National Police Public Relations Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono to reporters, Friday, March 5.
With the issuance of this permit, the U-23 National Team will compete with PS Tira Persikabo on March 5. Then on March 7, the SEA Games national team will face Bali United.
This license is issued with several notes. One of them is the obligation to implement health protocols.
"Of course, this competition will be held without spectators and of course also by paying attention to health programs. Especially in the context of handling COVID-19," he said.
Previously it was reported, the trial match between the Indonesian U-23 National Team (Timnas) and Tira Persikabo had to be postponed because the match permit was too tight with the match schedule. Referring to the permit application rules should have been a week before the event started.
"In accordance with the regulations that the application for crowd permits must be submitted 7 days before the activity. 7 days or a week before the activity," said Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan.
However, in organizing the match, the police request for permission from the committee had only been received by the Police a day before the event. Therefore, the match permit cannot be issued.
In fact, in issuing permits, the Police must consider several things. Moreover, it is currently the COVID-19 pandemic.
