Strict Action! 135 Climbers Fail To Infiltrate Enter Mount Rinjani Without Tickets

MATARAM- The management of Mount Rinjani National Park (TNGR) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) took action against 135 climbers who tried to infiltrate without having a ticket.

Head of the West Nusa Tenggara TNGR Center, Dedy Asriadi, quoted from ANTARA, Wednesday, April 17, explained that hundreds of visitors who did not have tickets were asked to go down again or not continue climbing.

"There are 135 prospective climbers of Mount Rinjani who do not have eRinjani tickets who cannot climb since it was opened in early April 2024," he said in a written statement in Mataram, Wednesday.

He said that on April 12, 2024, 32 climbers from East Lombok were found to have no tickets. Then on April 14, 2023, it was confirmed that Pos 2 Sembalun officers had 148 prospective climbers.

"Of the 148 people, only 43 people have eRinjani tickets and the remaining 103 people do not have eRinjani tickets," he said.

Mount Rinjani National Park officers who were on guard at Post 2 Sembalun, he said, immediately gave directions and understanding to prospective climbers that to climb in the Gunung Rinjani National Park area, prospective climbers must have a climbing ticket obtained through the eRinjani application.

"At that time, TNGR officers also appealed to prospective climbers who did not have eRinjani tickets not to continue climbing and direct them to come down from the Gunung Rinjani National Park Area," he said.

He hopes that Mount Rinjani nature lovers will become smart climbers by knowing what requirements must be completed when climbing the Mount Rinjani National Park.

"Make sure we already have a valid ticket registered in the eRinjani application," he said.

He also hopes that climbers will check in and check out at the climbing door so that the officers can record it. And for climbers who have carried out the backup-out process at the climbing gate, to ensure that the status status on the eRinjani application account reads "Ceck-Out".

"So the climber's account is not "under Blacklist"," he said.
