Seeing Daniel Agger's Retirement: Manage The Sewer System And Become A Tattoo Artist

JAKARTA - Daniel Agger is known as one of Liverpool's tough defenders. During his 12-year career at Anfield, he did an uncompromising 'dirty job' at the back.

The Dane joined Liverpool from Brondby in 2006 and made 231 appearances for The Reds before returning to Denmark in 2014.

He was forced to retire in 2016 at the age of 31 after his contract was not renewed by Brondby. However, the former center-back still keeps himself busy today.

In 2013, Agger invested £ 450,000 in a sewage company called 'KloAgger' which manages the sewer system in Denmark.

The name 'KloAgger' means 'Agger toilet', and Agger's interest in this business is completely non-existent. Because he prefers to concentrate on his main passion in life - tattoos.

Okay, he's still involved with the firm. However, who oversees his daily walk, his brother Marco and close friend Rune Rasmussen.

This Danish defender is a trained tattoo artist and a member of one of the largest circles of tattoo artists in the world, called Tattoodo. In an interview on the Tattoodo website, Agger revealed how young he was when his body was first tattooed.

“I was about 15 years old and on a school trip to Paris. It's not something I thought before", he said as quoted by the Daily Star, Friday, March 5.

Since then, the Denmark international with a total stamp of 75 has filled nearly every inch of his body with ink. From the Viking grave on his back to the love heart on his calf.

"I see it as a whole", he added. "When I talk to people, I talk about my tattoos as a piece but obviously every tattoo has a story, some are better than others".

Liverpool fans will also be pleased to hear that Agger recently added the letters 'YNWA' to his knuckles. While at Anfield, Agger contributed 1 League Cup trophy and 1 Community Shield.

"Somehow I want to show love to the world of football, and this is the way I want to show it", concluded Agger.
