KAPUAS HULU - Floods are currently hitting a number of lowlands in the Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan), one of which is in the Dangang area, Silat Hulu District, and inundating a number of public facilities (fasum) and residential areas.
"There are several houses submerged and currently the water is still surviving," said Arief, a resident of Dangkan, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, April 14.
Arief said that the flood in Tangkan had occurred since Saturday (13/4) afternoon until today, Sunday (14/4). The condition of the water discharge still persists with a depth of approximately one meter on the highway.

"There are about 15 to 20 houses around where I live that are flooded, residents are forced to build a stage in the house," he said.

The flood was due to the high intensity of rainfall which caused the river in the Drain area to overflow.
Apart from being in Dunang, floods also occurred in the Mendalam area, North Putussibau District, on Saturday (13/4) yesterday.
The overflow of the Mendalam River also affected the South Putussibau District, which is a lowland area, namely Barak Bay, Kedamin Hilir Village, and Tanjung Jati Village. However, the flood conditions in the area are currently gradually receding.
Meanwhile, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Kapuas Hulu Regency has not been able to be questioned regarding the flood disaster conditions in the area.
