The Number Of Public Transportation Passengers Capai 908,289 On D+1 Lebaran

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation noted that users of public transportation for Eid 2024 based on data on D+1 Lebaran or Friday, April 12, were 908,289 people. The data was monitored from the 2024 Integrated Eid Transportation Center Post at the Ministry of Transportation Office in Jakarta.

"On D+1 Lebaran, the most users of Eid 2024 public transportation on train transportation are 215,391 people or 23.71 percent of the total public transport passengers," said Transportation Ministry Spokesperson Adita Irawati, Friday, April 13.

Adita detailed that the number of public transport passengers per mode of transportation on D+1 Lebaran for road transportation was 200,669 passengers. This figure increased by 10.06 percent compared to last year or as many as 206,057 passengers, and rose 97.06 percent compared to the daily normal movement.

Meanwhile, crossing transportation was 208,070 passengers. This number decreased by 16.76 percent compared to last year or as many as 249,972 passengers, but increased by 692,77 percent compared to daily normal movements.

Then air transportation as many as 211,668 passengers. This figure decreased by 9.27 percent compared to last year's 233,307 passengers, and increased by 31.30 percent compared to daily normal movements.

Then sea transportation as many as 72,491 passengers. This figure is down 5.34 percent compared to last year's 76,577 passengers, and an increase of 13,59 percent compared to daily normal movements.

Lastly, rail transportation was 215,391 passengers. This number increased by 10.59 percent compared to last year's 194,770 passengers, and rose 45.73 percent compared to daily normal movements.

"Then for personal transportation, based on data on D+1 Lebaran, the number of cars leaving and entering Jabodetabek through the Jasamarga and arterial toll roads was recorded as 522,712 and 2,375,580 vehicles," he continued.

This figure is up 8.47 percent compared to the daily normal period in 2024, while compared to 2023 there was a decrease of 21.40 percent, namely 604,483 vehicles and 2,909,670 people.

Users of public transportation on rail transportation modes are the highest on D+1 Lebaran, which is 215,391 passengers compared to other modes of transportation on the same day.

"The Ministry of Transportation continues to urge travelers to remain careful and prioritize safety and regulate backflow travel, avoid travel on the predicted date as the peak of backflow," concluded Adita.
