Motorbikes Start Crowding Bakauheni Port Crossing To Merak
A number of travelers who use two-wheeled vehicles who will return continue to crowd the parking space of Bakauheni Port, South Lampung, trying to cross to Merak, Banten.
Based on ANTARA's monitoring, Friday, April 12, vehicles continued to arrive until they packed the parking space and regular piers of Bakauheni Port from morning to evening.
Backflow at Bakauheni Port began crowding the place from 08.30 to 15.30 WIB.
Not only two-wheeled vehicles crowded the port, it appears that a number of four-wheeled vehicles and pedestrian passengers also continue to arrive until they crowded the Bakauheni Port terminal and parking space.
Homecoming vehicles appear to crowd the parking pockets of executive and regular piers as well as terminals at Bakauheni Port.
A number of police officers, TNI, and ASDP officers were seen busy regulating the flow of traffic inside the port.
Based on 24-hour data from the Bakauheni Port Post, Lampung, it shows that the number of passengers on two-wheeled vehicles is 3,041 units, this number continues to increase from the previous day which was only 1,212 units.

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has imposed a new provision for purchasing online tickets for ferries starting December 11, 2023. This provision applies to Bakauheni Port, Merak Port, Ketapang Port, and Gilimanuk Port.
The new provision is that ferry ticket bookings can be made up to a maximum radius of 5 kilometers before the port. Which is stipulated in the Letter of the Director General of Hubdat AP.406/1/5/DJPD/2023 regarding the Arrangement of Electronic Ticket Ordering Services around the port.
